There has been a lot of chatter recently about Google making changes to their search algorithm.
As of April 21 (changes will be rolled out over a week or so), Google will be penalising websites that are not mobile-friendly.
Wikipedia suggests that responsive website design is:
Responsive web design (RWD) is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones)
There are lots of different opinions about mobile apps vs. responsive that I could go into here – it’s a massive deal and there is so much to cover so I’m going to leave it alone for this post but the video below does go into some detail about the options and what the difference is.
